Promised I would post it...though I figured I would just share a link because it is 7 pages, not too many, if anyone, would want to read it...and I don't think it really makes a great blog post. If you have read Nehemiah, it might be interesting to go through and see the references that he used (that I could think of and associate without going through notes) and get a view of how well the Old Testament really is a cogent whole in terms of God's covenant with the people of Israel.

If you have thoughts on it, would love to hear them :)
Thoughts, ideas, and another way to keep up with my family and friends.

Bethel part 3
This is due in three days and I am still working on it...nothing like waiting till the last minute.
In all reality...I don't even know if what I am doing is really what they are looking for...but, oh well, nothing like expecting them to grade on a curve.
If nothing else, the amount of time I have spent on it should account for something.
I will post my assignment for everyone to see...not that anyone would care...but, for me, it marks the end of the first half of this class and it will be a memorial stone, like the Israelites grabbed as they crossed the river and built an alter...something that helped them remember as time went by the things that they went through to get where they were going.

First Bethel Class
Just some thoughts from my first night.
- About 2 hours and lots of handouts. Kate, the teacher, said that handouts are equal to love...and she loved us a bunch.
- Only 7 people are taking the class, but, when you are committing to something that will take 2 years to complete...I guess that doesn't surprise me.
- One of the comments made this evening was "Biblical literacy of the average person who is a Christian is that of what a 11 year old knows and understands of the secular world." Not sue exactly how you measure that, but it doesn't sound terribly off either. Definitely makes you think.
- I have 25 Chapters in Genesis to get through this week!
- I have 7 tests, oral reports, 29 assignments to go until summer break...that'll shock the system...
